Price agreed, then the repair
The engineer agrees the call-out charge with you before the visit, then quotes for the repair after diagnosis and asks for your go-ahead before starting it.

An independent appliance engineer working in London, ID-checked before they can take jobs. FixiService takes your request and passes it to an engineer who repairs your type of appliance; the engineer then calls you directly. We don’t carry out repairs ourselves.
Not from us. Sending a request is free and there’s no obligation. Engineers pay FixiService a fee for each job they take; you pay only the engineer, at the price you agreed with them.
Appliance repairs start from £72, including the call-out and diagnosis; parts are extra. If you decide not to go ahead after diagnosis, you pay £36 for the call-out and diagnosis. Boilers, air conditioning and water heaters have their own prices on our prices page. The engineer confirms the price before starting any work.
It depends on which engineers are free near you. Once an engineer takes your job, they call you to agree a visit time. If no engineer near you can take it, we’ll tell you.
You pay the engineer for the work, at the price you agreed with them before the repair. There’s nothing to pay upfront.
Ask the engineer about the guarantee on parts and labour before the repair starts.
